Custom Paddles

from the designer

I don’t make paddles. I mean, not unless somebody asks me to. And not if they don’t have something to say with them. The paddles I a make are made of materials that mean something to their owners.

I think I’d like to make a paddle from somebody’s mother’s discarded dresser or a half rotted garden bench.

When I started this endeavour I thought that perhaps somebody would ask me to build a boat from wood recovered from a cottage renovation or apple tree but there aren’t a whole lot of folks who can afford a boat. Almost everybody though can afford a paddle.
